How it works

You keep working. It answers the phone.

A CallSide AI receptionist is built around your business, answers every call 24/7, and sends you the job details the moment the call ends. Nothing to install, and your number stays yours.

How it works

How It Works

Start with your calls. Add website chat when you need it.

Fully managed, done for you. You stay on the tools, we handle the phones.
1We learn your business

Your services, pricing, service area, hours, and exactly what counts as an emergency. We build it around how you actually run jobs.

2We build and launch your agent

We craft, test and tune an agent that knows your jobs and sounds like your best dispatcher — you pick the name and the voice, and approve every answer. You don’t lift a finger.

3It answers around the clock

Day, night and weekends. Every call becomes an organized lead in your inbox — and a booked job on your calendar when your calendar is connected.

Choose how calls reach the AI
Keep your numberEasiest Missed, busy and after-hours calls forward to the AI.

Your existing number forwards to the AI only when you don’t pick up — after hours, when you’re on a job, or when the line is busy. Customers keep calling the number they already know, and you still answer whenever you can.

Add a separate number A dedicated number for your website, ads or truck.

You get a second number that only the AI answers — put it on your website, your ads or your truck. Every call it takes comes back to you as a lead, and your own phone stays exactly as it is.

Not sure? We set it up either way, and you can change it later.

From signup to live in three steps

You do about ten minutes of work. We do the rest.

Day 0 · 10 minutes

You answer a short questionnaire

Your services, service area, hours, how you want calls greeted, what counts as an emergency, and what to say about pricing. Plain questions, no tech.

You: fill in the form. Us: read it and ask if anything is unclear.

Day 1–2

We build it and test it

We set up the receptionist around your answers, give it your voice and greeting, and test-call it with the kinds of calls you actually get. You hear it before it goes live.

You: listen, tell us what to change. Us: change it.

Go live

Your calls start reaching it

Either your existing number forwards to it when you don’t pick up, after hours or when the line is busy — or you get a separate number for your website and ads. Customers notice nothing except that someone answered.

You: a one-time forwarding setting on your phone. Us: walk you through it.

What you get after every call

Not a message slip. The information you’d have asked for yourself.

A structured lead

Who called, from where, what the problem is in their words, how urgent it is by your rules, and when they’d like someone out.

Transcript and recording

Every call, in full. Check what was said before you call back, or use it to tighten the setup.

An appointment request — or a booking

It captures when the caller wants someone out on every call. When your calendar is connected, it books the slot directly.

Questions owners ask

Do I have to change my phone number?

No. Your number stays yours. It forwards to the AI only when you don’t pick up, after hours, or when the line is busy — so on a quiet day you still answer every call yourself. If you’d rather keep things separate, we give you a second number just for the AI.

Does it sound like a robot?

Listen for yourself — there’s a real sample call on the plumbing page. It sounds like a calm, competent receptionist, and it says it’s an AI assistant if a caller asks.

What if a caller asks something it doesn’t know?

It says so, takes the caller’s details and flags the question for you — the same thing a new receptionist would do. It never invents a price or promises a time you haven’t agreed to.

Can I hear it before it goes live?

Yes. You hear it during setup and tell us what to change. You can also start with the free trial — 25 minutes, no card — and listen to real calls before paying anything.

What can I change later?

Anything: services, service area, hours, the greeting, the urgency rules, what it says about pricing. Tell us and we make the change — there’s nothing for you to configure.

What does it cost?

A flat monthly plan with minutes included, no setup fee. See pricing.
